Exercise?After 24 hours.
-
Are dermal fillers safe?Dermal fillers are safe treatments when administered by an experienced and medically qualified practitioner. The FDA has approved a range of dermal filler brands for cosmetic use, and as long as these approved fillers are applied to patients by a qualified practitioner, then they should generate no damaging side effects. However, as medical substances, they do come with a range of side effects including: skin rashes, redness, bruising, itching and swelling. Medically trained practitioners are adept at applying dermal fillers in a strategic way to avoid the chances of these side effects from occurring.
-
What are dermal fillers?Dermal fillers are non-surgical injectable treatments that help to restore a fresher and smoother appearance. They boost the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar-based substance that keeps the skin hydrated and nourished. This instantly adds volume to the skin while diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are injected into the skin at different depths by trained medical professionals to help fill in facial wrinkles, restore lost volume, target signs of ageing and improving the general quality of the skin.
-
What to expect after dermal fillers?Immediately after the treatment, patients may experience slight redness, swelling or tenderness around the area that has been treated. They may also experience raised or inflamed skin as well as itching in the treatment area. These side effects are completely natural and tend to subside in one to two days for the vast majority of patients who experience them. On rare occasions, patients may also bruise. However, all of these symptoms will gradually disappear over a period of 7-14 days.

How does Botox work?BOTOX works by reducing muscle movement under the skin, which is the real cause of wrinkles. Wrinkles are essentially folds of skin that are caused by the muscles under the skin contracting thousands and thousands of times, eventually “etching” in wrinkles in their fold points. You can notice this by looking in the mirror and raising your eyebrows-you will see lines form where the skin wrinkles on your forehead! Botox works to block the nerve signals in these muscles, thereby stopping the formation of these wrinkles.
-
What can I expect during my BOTOX treatment?During your evaluation, your provider will assess the muscle movement in the areas you hope to treat (forehead, “11” lines, “Crow’s Feet” etc.) and recommend a range of dosing options. Once you and your provider determine the correct dosing, your skin will be marked with a skin marker to note the correct placement of the injections. Then your provider will provide the injections-after this your skin will be cleaned off and your appointment will be complete!
-
How long does Botox last?Generally speaking, you can expect BOTOX to have a VERY NOTICEABLE effect for 2-3 months, and after this, you will see the diminishing effect until, usually, NO effect is seen at the 5-month mark. However, the most important thing to remember with BOTOX is: DOSE = DURATION The more BOTOX units you receive per area, the longer it works.
-
How long does it take for Botox to work? You will start to see it work at around day 5 and will continue to notice a progressively stronger effect until it peaks at day
